Unit of study: Women in history

measurable learning outcomes:

1) students will demonstrate an understanding of women’s roles during World War I

2) students will demonstrate an understanding of what led to women’s right to vote

students will demonstrate an understanding of who Rosa Parks was and what she was known for.


Test questions for measurable learning outcomes

1) During World War I a draft was put in to place and many men left to be involved in the war. Women stepped up to take the place in many job positions that were left open because of this. Please list at least 4 jobs that women held during WWI.

2) Name when women acquired the right to vote and what events led up to it.

3) What event was Rosa Parks known for?

Essay:

In history, women have had major impacts on the way our society treats women and the rights that they have. Give a brief overview of how women in history have molded their daily lives in today’s society.
